How much more fuel efficient is a manual honda prelude then an automatic honda prelude? - honda prelude vgeneration tuning

I have 97 Honda Prelude base machine and I like. But today, aspire to a manual, because its more fun and feel more in control. Now, out of curiosity, how much fuel is more efficient if the manual system? and how is it faster? I do not know race, I only get a driver every day, and I think you should read the manual in place?

A handbook is only a little better MPG than automatically because of the parasitic resistance due to the transfer. Unless the driver wants to run all day.

The same is true of how "fast". But if you have no idea how to navigate with a manual and slow. Something like those double-clutch plan is good for competition. For your information, but good to turn down. This would apply only on a track or autocross, and not many people on a daily basis.

The automatic is best for you. Additionally, you can always talk on the phone, drinking coffee and playing with the radio, without worrying about the changes.

Also a drag strip, all-powerful, heavy runners avoid automatic operator error, so that they can win a race.

Hello,

MPG does not think the score will not change by more than 1-2 MPG. Not enough to be interesting, get rid of a car works well and feels the non-functioning could.

Then there is the problem of buying a new clutch every few miles. Usually takes about 80,000 miles, but an experienced person in a few weeks to wear.

Do not try to apply too much force, until the clutch went at the end and it only prolongs the lives of many more miles.

The advantage of an automatic gearbox is that they are much better if the bumper to bumper in traffic, or if you start in the hills, it is necessary often. The converter allows you to speed up the engine and provide more power, while in first gear at speeds very low.

MPG is not sufficient justification for a new car to buy. But the joy of driving is a good reason to replace a boring car, will smile. Several times, the machine will get the same MPG rating of the machine, sometimes 1 MPG higher.

Good luck!

Its almost the same. It is probably a 1.3 MPG better quality, not so great. It will probably change so quickly because they do not enter it manually. I sincerely believe that the most convenient for the automatic driving all day, but if you prefer a manual, go forward and find the. Theres not really a big difference, but the automatic is more suitable for normal driving.

A manual transmission is dependent on the pilot fuel. If the shift to a higher speed and gas production (maybe 1.3 max), then you would with an automatic. However, if a driver like harder and higher the revs rise, before it will get worse mpg. That is the beauty of a manual transmission, you can choose when you use the car, which means that in the control of power and the mpg you get. For a daily driver, I really want to make a difference, the manual is a prelude to a second faster 0-60 time. However, with the manual model, you get the Super-Handling (SH), that is) with a system called ATTS (active torque transfer, which it really differs from the SH basis, and the couple that allows the car transfers much better handle on all levels.

If you get a manual? Yes. and tell you why. The Preludes 97-01 all have the "Tip Tronic Transmission," which means that they have a way they can change control (something like a manual), but this was the first for Honda and ptraveled to a bad start. The auditions are all 97-01 Automatic Error, white, Honda, but so far only given an extended warranty on the 99-01 models up to 100,000 miles, I think. The problem is that this has not been published before the end and most owners prologue and last 100,000 miles and includes 97-98 owners (I am currently the owner of a 98). Let me tell you that although I love my car 98 prelude, in its 3rd is, indeed, transmission and 3ro. I love this car, I'm (still in the repair of the gearbox and I thank God for guarantees), but it really is a pain through a reconstruction of the transmission costs caused the average person about $ 2000 - $ 2600 City Council and the species would and manner of their construction and how often to go 1-2 weeks without a car. Therefore, should the transmission, we will go one day and be prepared to have to rebuild, and if you (just a good warranty) at least 2 years warranty or you can always change to a 5-speed manual transmission have (been done several times more). I'm really part of a prelude club owners that we have many auditions, see Automatic Won the erroneous, id 7 of 10 car owners in the start-telling club had a "problem" with the main transmission.

If you really want to enjoy the prelude to his hand and can drive and seems to be a want, then sell your car to buy, a manual and continue to enjoy!
